Notes on accommodation

Other facilities included: TV, DVD player and radio/CD player.

A cot, highchair, baby bath, bottle steriliser and changing mat are available on request. Either house would accommodate a cot in one of the bedrooms.

Heating is by electric radiator in each room.

Outside and accessibility

The garden and pool (5.5m, above-ground) are shared between both houses, though each has its own outside dining area with table and chairs. A BBQ is available for use by both houses. Visitors may also play petanque on the floodlit 'court'.

As the property is above street level up a flight of steps it may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.

Further details

The larger supermarkets are all found in Bedarieux or Lamalou-les-Bains. Both towns have excellent markets and restaurants, various shops, tourist information offices, banks, post offices, swimming pools and small play parks for the children. There is also a small hospital with A&E facilities in Bedarieux.

Distances and travel

A car is essential as there is very little public transport and none to the village. Car hire is best booked online as this proves much cheaper than booking on arrival.

St Gervais sur Mare is the nearest village (6km).

Bedarieux and Lamalou-les-Bains are the nearest towns approx 20km away, via Herepian. Bedarieux train and bus stations have trains and buses to and from Beziers (and on to Montpellier, Carcassone, Toulouse, etc), as well as north to Millau and Roquefort (home of the famous cheese).

Nearest airport from March 2008 is Beziers, the nearest city, approx 50km (flights from Bristol and Stansted).

Montpellier city and airport, approx 90km.

Perpignan, Carcassone and Nimes airports are all around 2 hours' drive away.

Girona airport in Spain is about 3 hours' drive away.

If driving from the UK, the new viaduct at Millau has cut shorter the time it takes to drive from the ferry ports by over an hour.
